I can confirm that as well as been good with a camera Simon Bartle also invented 'The Mahone' in the Autumn of 1990 somewhere in Soho. Essentially a pint of Guinness with a Baileys tipped in it, The Mahone was greater than the sum of its parts and encouraged speed drinking. If left standing for more than a minute the cream in the Baileys separated into curds & whey and floated to top of the Guinness rendering the Mahone undrinkable.
